Right. Think about Burden of Dreams and Fitzcarraldo. Herzog and his alter ego Brian Sweeney Fitzgerald. People who drag steamboats over mountains aren't shy in the risk tolerance department. And as for endurance: The movie took four years. The two original stars dropped out, the funders walked, and everything else under the sun went wrong. But Herzog created a masterpiece.
