Quick thanks for linking to Nash's site and to that video -- fantastic.

He makes important points about how publishing's business model has been so driven by its attachment to the supply chain. But he's preaching to people who are totally invested in the existing business structure, and for whom change is both costly and risky. Like dinosaurs staring up at the comet getting bigger on the horizon, they cannot change. He really needs to be talking to 25-year-old entrepreneurs who are looking for a new product/service to sell. The most innovative person in book publishing -- Jeff Bezos -- came from outside publishing.

Also, I'm noticing you're embedding references to MNI episodes in the blog posts instead of saving them for your pimp posts. Excellent! I've already downloaded a couple I missed.
